He was the youngest son of Subramaniam and Sinnammah. He was the loving husband of Kokilam and beloved father of Suganthy, Subashini, Sumathy, Susitha, Muralitharan, Sritharan and Ravitharan. His siblings include Sivasothy, Pathmathevy and Kanagambihai.
