Mrs. Leeladevi Alalasundaram of Ariyalai origin passed away in Colombo on Tuesday May 02, 2017.

She was loving daughter of late Arunasalam and late Sellammah, daughter-in-law of late Thambipillai and late kanagamma, beloved wife of late Thambipillai Alalasundaram (Ceylon Electricity Board), loving mother of Nalini (Department of Examination - Sri Lanka) and Vaheesan (Cargills [Ceylon] PLC), mother-in-law of Hemamalini (Colombo Vivekananda College) and loving grandmother of Ketharan (Colombo S. Thomas' College).

My wife and i are very sad to learn the demise of Mrs Leelawathy Alalasundaram. She is well known to us and all my sisters at school and at festival times in Ariyali and Nallur Hindu Temples. My late parents were good friends of Mr & Mrs Alalas and of their late parents in Ariyalai in their days
